Putting 5,000,000 on ICE...

I always doubted the stories that I read on some of the less mainstream websites that claim that there are detention camps for millions just waiting to be activated at short notice. If there are two things to learn from history it's that we learn nothing from it and that it repeats itself with gay abandon. In the current climate of paranoia and fear that infects the US the people there have proven they will suffer any indignity if it makes them feel a little bit safer.

I have changed my mind about the existence of these camps because of the publically available 'Endgame' document from the Department of Homeland Security. If you don't believe me then click here and get a copy for yourself. You will need to have or download Acrobat Reader(free) to be able to view Endgame.

Most people will look at this document, take it at face value and justify to themselves that the ability to incarcerate 5,000,000 people is OK because the people targeted wont be US citizens or that they will be illegal immigrants. If you think about it that figure is massive and there is no way that it could be for the temporary incarceration of illegals. If you look at the Endgame strategy and put it in concert with the yet to be PATRIOT ACT II which can strip you of your citizenship at the stroke of a pen for what were once constitutionally protected actions then you can see how it may all tie together. Public Dissent could get you executed if PATRIOT II passes. Can you smell the roses yet?

Even if I am wrong (and I hope I am) people need to take a good hard look at the legislation, strategies, and agendas that are rapidly being formulated and made law. PATRIOT II is one piece of legislation that needs to be flushed. For more info on the PATRIOTs click here and here.

Jobs for the boys

It seems that Tony Blair (British Prime Minister) is going to be looked after extremely well for supporting the Iraq invasion. It looks like he'll soon be earning £500,000 per year for a few days work a month whoring for the Carlyle group.
It's going to be awfully interesting to see just what John Howard (Australian Prime Minister) ends up working at after he finishes selling Australia and Australian workers off to the lowest bidder. My guess is Howard will get a highly paid position with a pharmaceutical giant after his treasonous and shameful behaviour in regards to Medicare and the PBS(Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme).
It's no wonder that Mr Howard and his government were described as a conga line of suckholes.

Pat profits from assassination speech

Everyone has been blogging and talking about the leader of the Christian Coalition's comments about how he thinks that Hugo Chavez should be assassinated. Apparently he was misunderstood and says that although he did call for special forces to 'take him out' that expression could mean many things including kidnapping the President of Venezuela.

According to a recent article at Conspiracy Planet a fund that Pat Robertson is a large investor in made substantial purchases of September long bond and dollar contract indexes immediately prior to Pat's assassination statement to the 700 club. This created a flight to quality bid meaning that investment funds were pulled out of Venezuela back into US markets thus making those substantial purchases prior to Pat's blooper a very good short term earner.

Just what has Mr Chavez done that is so darn evil that Christian leaders want to 'take him out'? Thankfully, terrorist mastermind Chavez has made public his latest nefarious scheme. Unbelieveably he wants to sell discount fuel to poor communities in the United States. He could do this via Citgo which is a chain of 14,000 service stations in the US that are owned by the Venezuelan state oil company PDVSA. Chavez claims that he could provide the fuel at half its current price by cutting out the middle men/profiteers who are 'speculating and exploiting consumers'. Of course if this was to occur then the obscene profits that are setting new corporate records while you pay the highest price for fuel ever might be reduced by a fraction of a percentage point. That has to be the best excuse I have heard for the invasion of a sovereign nation since WMD.

Utah Explosion & Utah Rave

About a week ago I was watching the 6 o'clock news in Australia when they reported that a truck had exploded on a Utah highway. They showed a video of the explosion and I was amazed at the reports of no deaths. Click here to view the video. In an interesting coincidence the explosion occurred at the mouth of Spanish Fork Canyon which is a hop, skip, and a jump from the Diamond Fork area where the ill-fated rave was located. The KUTV website has some information on the rave bust and shows in its video the short distance between the scene of the explosion and the location of the rave.
The truck reportedly had just departed from Ensign Bickford Co. a commercial explosives manufacturer which is a subsidiary of defense contractor Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company.

Below is an image of the crater caused by the explosion. As you can see the fact there were no deaths is amazing. Especially considering the co-driver claimed to be only 75 yards away when it exploded.



Unsubstantiated update: I have been chatting with one of my Instant Messaging contacts who lives close to the area and he claims that there has been some sort of army/national guard exercise in the area since the explosion. He postulated that there may be some sort of manhunt going on and that the heavy handed (90+ stormtroopers) response could have been part of this supposed hunt.
I can find absolutely no media backup for this claim and I am just putting it here in the hopes that anyone from the area can verify the activity in the area or any alternate ideas. Spread Firefox

I was looking at my website statistics today and was a little surprised when I saw the number of visitors that were using Mozilla Firefox. Upon reflection I have realised that bloggers are really quite savvy in comparison with the average point'n'drooler. That 28% of my visitors use Firefox compared to the global statistic of 19.8% for August, 2005 demonstrates this.
As you have probably worked out by now I am a Firefox user. I have used other browsers such as Internet Explorer, Opera, Netscape, Galeon, and Lynx to name but a few but unless something major occurs I will continue to use Firefox and why wouldn't I considering that;

• Mozilla Update not only updates just patches but it also allows you to download themes and extensions saving you the need to search high and low on the net to find that perfect customisation (Firefox is after all the most customisable browser available today).
• Microsoft is on the record stating that it will not be releasing any updates for Internet Explorer on any Windows platform older than XP. So if you are running Windows 95, 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, or any older NT version than XP you are completely out of luck. If this is the case you need to do something about it as your computer is probably already compromised. Maybe you could try Mandriva Linux?
• Firefox has a popup blocker built in that allows you to manually control popup behaviour or alternatively you can allow Firefox to manage the problem.
• Firefox restricts ActiveX controls which historically have been amongst the worst security problems for Internet Explorer. There have been more than 153 IE security holes since April, 2001 and these are the ones that we know about.
• Tabbed browsing, smart search, live bookmarks, the list could continue but carpal tunnel syndrome could set in before I finish writing it.
• Firefox is FREE you can download it then try it and the worst that can happen is that you don't like it. Give it a try most people who do stick with it and then like myself sing its praises.
